That everyone hates the US until it has to come bail their asses out of trouble?

Take the French for example, They hated us because of our prosperity in the twenties and even during the depression. Then come WW2 we're their best friends again.

Of course. That's my biggest pet peeve about our country rushing in and saving the day whenever anyone's in trouble. No one remembers it later. We're Satan unless they need something from us. I'm pretty sick of it.

The French and the USA have always been decent allies throughough our history.

They have never hated us. Like a lot of countries, they weren't too happy about the Taft-Hartley Tariff act during the great depression....that made the depression far worse.

Everyone hates a success story... US can make up for that though, by being a thoughtful and helpful world leader. (And by stopping the promotion of hatred and wars. That means, out with Bush!)
