I'm sure he loved them equally. His life was very different from the time Julian was born to the time Sean was born. Julian was born at the start of Beatlemania. Lennon was rarely home and he had to keep his wife and child a secret from the press to protect the image of The Beatles. The young fans would think he was an old man if they had found out that he had a wife and son! At the time Sean was born, things were a lot more relaxed, The Beatles were a thing of the past and Lennon was semi-retired and could spend a lot more time with him. I'm sure Julian felt abandoned, but I'm sure if Lennon had lived longer they would have worked out those problems and had a wonderful relationship as adults. At least, I would hope they would.

that is hard to say. julian was born in 1963 and sean in 1975 and john died in 1980. i could understand julian being estranged because john had moved on with yoko ono, but that does not change his love for his first born. sean was still young, but his love was so strong for yoko you would think that any birth from that union would be special to him. i wish john was here to be able to ask him.

Lennon was a pretty self centered man. I'm sure he loved them both in his own special way, but it probably wasn't enough for either.
