It is a question of belief.
So there are volumes and volumes on this subject written. Do some research but no one really knows about such things.
PS:
Biologically there is no death, it just gets propagated in to different life form, example people donate their organs after the death, they give batter life to other people for rest of their life.
Dead leaves from the tree can get converted to compose naturally, that give food and root protection to other plant........

Since you ask this in the biology section instead of religion, the biology answer is this life is all we have. We humans have a great desire not to simply die and thus create many myths about what happens to our "sense of self" when we die. Our "sense of self" dies with our bodies, but the memory of us lives on in those who knew us.

When Jesus walked this earth he had many followers, called disciples. When he was arrested, tortured, and nailed to the cross; they all fled and hid. His favorite disciple, Peter, even denied that he knew Jesus....not once but three times! BUT, after Jesus rose from the dead and presented himself to His disciples.....his followers knew that what he had said about eternal life was true. From that point on, they did not hide but instead openly preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of them were put to death for their beliefs, but died willingly and unafraid because they had seen the proof of life after death.

Yes there is another life but not in earth but in heaven.
When we die we r buried or burnt and we r not left but one day that is the judgement day that day we will be given life with all your body parts and that day we will be asked question about what were the good things done by us on earth.
When the judgement day comes earth will get demolished and nothing will be left.So when we had done good we will go to heaven and when we had done bad we will be pushed into the hell.

There is no life after death bcoz soul left our body & entered into new one there is another life & our body has burn
