It would have been one of the pharoahs sometime after the Old Kingdom. Ramses the Great would be my guess, since he reigned longer than any other pharoah, ruled both the lower and upper Nile, which were once separate kingdoms, and the pharoah was the religious leader of Egypt, considered to be a god.
