Well, my husband was trying to be helpful when he did the laundry, BUT he put a pair of my white pants in with blue jeans! And you can imagine what happened. I've never had to bleach anything before. Will it damage tha pants or should I bring them to a dry cleaner? They are nice pants. 95% cotton and 5% spandex. The inner part is lined but I do not know the material. Thanks!

Either at a craft store or cut rate dept store you can buy a product manufactured by RIT DYE, comes in a small box, less than $ 3.00. They make a color remover and a whitening and Brighton solution that I am quite familiar with, it works ! You simply wash your clothes with it. I have well water with alot of mineral content, so of course my whites turn dingy. Every couple of weeks I'll use this product and my whites are crisp again. Also it doesn't break the cloth fiber down as rapidly as bleach will.

I doubt that you'll ever get the blue tint out of the pants so al I can suggest is to buy some dark blue dye & then you'll have a nice pair of navy blue pants.
