I can't even manage a 5 minute plan. I wish I had a 5 year plan. And I wish I could stick to one, maybe then I would feel better about my life.

No and I've never had one - life is so unpredictable and I find it's better to leave myself freedom to react in the best way possible (or try to...) to whatever is happening around me than to give myself a rigid plan to work to.
That's not to say that I don't have hopes and plans at all - they are there and I review them from time to time to see if I am any nearer achieving them - or indeed if I've actually done so! (It does happen - occasionally...!!)

I kind of do 5 year plans at a time...and they're constantly being adjusted.

yup, and then some. Finish sixth form,, this year or next, go on my volunteer program for a year, come back, save for 6 months and then go to Africa to volunteer and really make a difference there, then I'm on God's plan for me

its vague but as the yrs roll round it will be clear
i also have a yr plan and a 6 month plan
you have to set some goals in your life
