i have a net frnd frm my country.i've never seen him nor has he seen me.i'm 15 and he's 16. i know him since the past 7 months.
we've talked on phone too. i gave him my number just this month and that was only bcoz his net connection has been cut .
the people i talked to abt this told me that i shouldn't reveal my personal info online,which i have already done.
so did i make a mistake?are all net frnds predators or something?
i cannot break up my frndshp with him all of a sudden.its so rude and i'm not sure if i can live without his frndship becoz when we once had a falling out and didn't talk for 2 months,i used to feel very hollow inside and very down.

You have to understand that the world is a bit paranoid about pedophilia over the internet. 95% of the people on the internet are genuine and go on solely to be themselves. If youve heard him talk on the phone then thats even better. It would be great if you could see him on webcam or something because then you'd know for sure.
All net friends arent predators. Like i said 95% of them are absolutely genuine, so it is most likely he is too. 7 months is a long time, so you must know each other pretty well. After such a time, if he was fake he would have made a small mistake which would give the game away completely. Is unlikely hes not who he is. I wouldnt worry at all about it, honest. All the better for you for making a new friend. But if you ever meet up i would bring someone, even a friend, with you, and tell him to do the same. Dont break it off tho, its too good a friendship to waste because of something the world goes a bit over the top with.

One thing, whenever you first get online, there is always a warning to new comers, never ever give out personal info on yourself. It's ok to talk on here, but nothing personal, as it can be so very dangerous, if the person goes a step further, to find out where you live. There has been incidences, where the inocent party, became a victim. Your 15, and he says he's 16, but you never really know that for sure. Maybe not all are pred. but alot are. There can be some that are just lonely, but you never know who. Please be very careful, no personal info, anymore.

be friends only be careful if u meet him take a pal meet in a public place do no longer provide out ur handle untill u have met him some instances. no longer all internet persons are predators yet some are.
