Britney had her reasons. Shaving your head can help with dealing with depression and can also signify a time of personal growth and advancement.
Perhaps we shouldn't criticise her for doing what she did, but applaud her for doing something that ISN'T stupid and/or lifethreatening.
Hair is hair, it will grow back.

Tell me she didn't! I guess she did! I haven't watched much tv/boob tube lately, and it shows. Assuming she has, I'm not surprised. Poor Britney seems to be short a few proverbial marbles. You'd think with all her millions, she could at least hire stylists and even personal advisors to help direct her floundering career. I don't think she has grown much emotionally even though she is now a mother and not a pop princess. She seems capable of doing anything and will to draw attention to herself, and it has made her a laughing stock. On the other hand, maybe she watched the old movie, GI Jane, and thought it would be liberating!! Ha Ha I doubt it, but anything's possible.

she has a lot of problems...maybe she shave her head because she wants to have a good start in her life and in her career....and i hope she will be O.K. soon and will comeback again singing and dancing....i still love britney spears no matter what...im still a fan of her even though im also a fan of christina aguilera!!

you know the machine that guys use to shave them heads I saw her in a video using it :)
just kidding , well you know when you feel so down that you could almost not get private life well she had that feeling n said "people you I have something you could talk about see.."
ofcourse I'm just kidding again but the real answer is she just can't have enough of getting attention her way and that is the real answer :)

well i heard that she went into a barbers shop and asked the lady that worked there to shave her head. the lady refused and then britney snached the razor and then started shaveing her head

NOTE TO PREOCCUPIED MASSES: SHAVING YOUR HEAD IS NOT SELF-MUTILATION!!!
If that is the case than Sinead O'Connor, Demi Moore and Igourney Weaver are all guilty, as well as millions of men who shave there head on a regular basis.
There is a huge difference between doing something when you are f*cking wasted on drugs and self-mutilation.

I think it was a cry for help. People don't normally shave their heads without thinking about it first. She obviously has some problems that need to be dealt with professionally. I feel bad for her two little boys.

I agree with Felix. I think she is so devastated about K-Fed, that's she's just on this path of self-destruction. Of course, we all saw it coming and could have warned her beforehand, but she would have never listened.
