Hitler holed up in a bunker with those who stuck with him to the end, such as the Himmlers and Eva Braun. The Himmlers poisoned their children and killed themselves, Eva Braun took cyanide, and Hitler both took cyanide and shot himself, possibly because he wanted to make sure. Not only did he kill millions, of Jews, plus gypsies, intellectuals, and other "undesireables," he even poisoned his own dogs before he killed himself.

The next day at a little after 3:30 p.m., they bit into thin glass vials of cyanide. As he did so, Hitler also shot himself in the head with a 7.65 mm Walther pistol.

The day before Hitler died, he married his long time mistress Eva Braun, made sure the cyanide capsules would work by using it on his German shepherd Blondie, saw Eva Braun poison herself and then took a gun and shot himself.

Before Hitler shot himslef he named Dr. Goebbels Reichskanzler and named Admiral karl Doenitz as his Reichspraezident. He dictated his last will and testament. Then he married his mistress since 1932, Eva Braun. They committed suicide together on April 30, 1945.

He made out his will, he married Eva Braun, he turned over the government to Admiral Donitz. He then retired to his room with Eva. She took poison, he took poison and shot himself in the head. Then the bodies were burned just outside the bunker.
