Crisps gave me dry skin....and then that got spotty.
I think that it had something to do with hydrogenated oils cooked at high temperatures poisoning your body.
I actually went all healthy two years ago and started eating more nuts in my diet...and discovered that peanuts, brazil nuts and even pistacio (which aren't even a nut!!) gave me zits on my forehead and nose! I think that it has something to do with the oils or the polyol compounds.
I gave up peanuts but have the occasional Brazil nut for the selenium content. I now mostly take supplements instead of eating nuts....which is a shame...as I love brazil nuts.

Anything with a high fat and/or sugar contect will give you bad skin if eaten in large quantities and not eaten in conjuction with a healthy diet.
