No it is not. I need more space to answer this question completely. In Islam it is not considered cheating and most people mistake this for some male chauvinistic approach of Islam but it you read the 4th Surah in The Holy Qur'an it will explain perectly how and when this is allowed. Ex. shortages of men during wartime is one good example. It has happened throughout history and to eliminate the problem of widowed mothers and orphans, men taking on another wife will solve that problem. When you look at the nature of a man, they are not programmed in their hard drives (brain) to be monogomous like women are. The majority of men have another woman anyways, whether it be in a lawful righteous way or a mistress. Thats how it goes whether women really like it or not. You have to understand the logic & science behind that and when its all said and done GOD Knows whats best!

If a man takes another wife while still married to the first it is considered bigamy by law in the UK and the USA. It is illegal for a person to have two spouses.

However, if it were legal and both wives were happy with the arrangement, then I guess it's not cheating as it's out in the open. I guess it's not exactly cheating if a man takes a lover if his wife knows about it and does not mind...

I never have liked the word 'cheating' to describe behavior in a marriage or relationship. This isn't a card game. A better word to describe what you are talking about would be infidelity. To answer your question; in some countries and cultures taking a second wife is illegal and immoral; however, in other cultures such as the Muslim community it is common practice and legal. The cultures that do practice polygamy have certain guidelines that they follow. Infidelity is determined between the couple. What some couples may view as infidelity others may not.

It depends. In Islaam having 2nd wife is legal in some context. To have 2nd wife you must have certain reason and also you have to take permission from your first wife. I would not say it is cheating as if your husband still loves you and meet all your requirement then I think it is OK.
If you are not accepting it then will you accept if your husband go to other lady hiding you?

Not in some cultures. He ought to take up Islam and move to Michigan and get involved with the growing Muslim party. They arrange marriages between old men and 13 year old girls too.
