These points are only score points with no value. Although there is a sponsored by "Old Spice" event where you can win something depending on your gamerscore, this is a special event, and normally you don't get anything from these Gamerscore points.

The points do squat except show other gamers that either 1. you're a stud and you've beaten every 360 game, even on the extreme difficulty level. You've unlocked everything in a game. You've beaten other players online. Or 2. you have no life because all you do is play the 360 just for those points.

Basically, they're just there for bragging rights. It's a really neat idea that MS has come up with and has kept me playing some games longer than I would have normally. Below is a link to a site dedicated to keeping track of these points and how to earn them in each game.

the game score points are there for show, bragging rights if you will. You have to buy ms points from the market place
