Too many options cause doubts which cause questioning, which can't be answered without options, but many people hold their first option so strongly that they find their lives frustrating, causing them to feel anger, depression or anxiety.
If more people were as flexible as a bamboo, and not as tight and strong as an Oak, we'd live in a much more peaceful environment.
Nothing lasts forever- not even beliefs. Ask any ex-believer after they've lost a son or daughter.
To simplify, people somewhere along their lives make a choice (good or bad, convenient or conventional), and as soon as their choice is questioned, blocked, sabotaged, insulted, ridiculed or proved wrong, they retaliate with anger, frustration and what is the worst emotion to have: hate.
"Slideeeeeeeeeeee" from Fight Club. That is in essence what people should do when they doubt their choices. Shift gears in their brain and see what other options are available to them. Holding on to a sinking ship will only get you drowned- now which sink is shipping is the question- isn't it?

I think people are frightened for their children. When I see the mess our government leaders have made it just gives me a feeling of despair. They are transparently incompetent; They squander our money, destroy pensions, education. They cannot do a simple job of just cleaning up our hospitals; They open our borders to terrorists/potential terrorists etc. Prices of everything are spiralling out of control. I think I've said enough. Shall I hand out the Prozac!! ;-)

we were meant to live in smaller tribal clans and groups. city dwelling is as weird as the people have become.
