I just had my rear brakes done after the wheel cylinders on both sides blew and I had no brakes for a day. even before the blow out my brakes werent hard they were a bit soft but I dint care well now they are woking properly and are hard and stop on a dime the only problem now is that at about 40 and up in sopeed if I touch the brakes even slightly the jeep starts to vibrate. It stops vibrating once down around below 40 mph. any suggestions as to what this could be or how to fix the situation?

There may be s high spot on one brake pad. If so, the issue will resolve itself shortly.

Its also possible you have indication of a failing rear axle bearing that would allow the axle to "wobble" creating the effect you describe. Part of the cause of the wobble would be a slightly out of ballance tire/wheel/brake/axle system. (just a missing lug nut or out of ballance hubcap can be enough.)

BTW... the "wobble" scenario can blow out the wheel cylinders.

The fact that it happens above 40 only is cause to have it checked. The high spot issue usually can be detected at all speeds.

You may have needed to "SPIN the ROTORS" this make the rotor smooth for the new pads to make their own "new" groves... or just replace them with new rotors shouldn't cost more than $40.00... this is what causes shimmy or shake or Vibration in the brakes when you apply them...

After you get this checked or done, a wheel and tire balance will smooth out any vibration on the freeway if you haven't had one in a while.

Sounds like the brake pads are going bad. Take it in and at least have it checked. An accident with injuries will cost you alot more than a simple repair job.
