a sixteenth birthday party, i think, is the most important. at 18 there isnt really anything important changing. and twenty- one is right up there with sixteen. i think its a great idea for you to make the invitations. they should be something different and very creative. you could maybe hire a photographer, and that pereson could take pictures of the teens in really cute decorative frames. its something that could last for a while... and the photographer could maybe give you the extras to make a scrapbook pages.

When my son turned 16 I didn't make any card I phoned every one and had them park around the corner and come over earlier before he got home form work then I had everyone hide and when he walked in to the door we(everyone) yelled SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY and we had a good time You have to plan it really good and don't let him know that anything is going on just act like it's another day You can do this GOOD LUCK
