i have an american dollar coin from 2000...........?

if im looking at the face side and i spin the coin to see the back is it suposed to be upside down?

Yes. That's called the coin flip. If the obverse and reverse have the same orientation, that would be the medallion flip.

Chris A has it right, but instead of flip, lets call it alignment. There is coin and then there is medal alignment. we use coin alignment here in the U.S. on our coinage some countries use medal alignment on theirs.
