my best friend is a man.we have been best friends for atleast 20 yrs.we both enjoy each other so much,it is unreal.we had a baby,everyone says that would ruin our relationship.we are closer now than before.the problem is we don't consider ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend,

cos a baby should have a father and mother and in the traditional families, a father and a mother are legally married or maybe in some kind of relationship that means more than friends.

If you guys go through all this stuff, and had a baby, you guys are considered boyfriend and girlfriend whether or not you consider yourself to be. You guys might as well label yourself as a couple considering that you guys have had a baby together. It wouldn't hurt just to put a label over yourselfs. Nothing would change except for the title.

I think your child is getting the best of both worlds as the child has two loving parents who are great friends. This is the best situation for the child to grow up in and some poor kids just don't have that in their lives, so don't worry what anyone thinks, continue to live your life as you see fit.
