i am left handed and i have noticed that there are a lot more of us about these days, we will rule the world one day!!
i read years ago that most babies born by ceaserian section were left handed, and so whenever i meet another lefty i ask them if they were born this way, most of them were. the docs reckon it can be the trauma of the birth procedure that causes people to be born left handed. sounds plausible, as in modern times a lot more babies are being born this way.

There actually isn't more left-handed people now than before.
My father was born left-handed in 1929. But people had the belief that being left-handed was inferior so they forced people into using their right hands if they could. Also, most products were made for right-handed people. My father uses his right hand, but for some reason is still physically stronger in his left.
Nowadays people aren't concerned with this. Businesses have come a long way in making products to accommodate left-handed people. And being left-handed isn't considered a "disability" any more.

Yip there is. The reason is that at school now they dontget made to use there right hand they are allowed to use which ever they like. When i were a lad the lefties were weeded out from primary one and made to adjust to right handed life. I can remember some lads writing with there right hand but there jotters were upside down and this was because they were naturally left handed but made to use there right!

I think that there is probably the same amount, just back in the day they were not allowed to be left handed.
My dad was left handed but they tied his left hand behind his back at school so that he would be made right handed.

Because those with left hands are needed to help set the world to rights and improve the academic and other vital parts of the world.

I don't think there are more, but as the last poster said, society is more tolerant of them. For some reason, in the past they were considered 'sinister'. I have 2 left handed children, neither parent is left handed!

Most people now realize it is foolish and counterproductive to "change" them, so people with only a small inclination to the left are allowed to follow their abilities.

Yeah, they passed a law that said we cant kill em JUST for being
left-handed anymore.....
actually... in 1st grade... I could use either hand,
but I got beat with a ruler everytime the teacher caught me using my left.
because it wasn't "proper"
