if it's an online article, i'd love to see it. i love a good armageddon story.
aaanyways...no, the world will not end in 20 years. There's always always ALWAYS someone saying that the world's gonna end...we're all gonna die...etc. etc. "Global warming this...Nuclear war that" hell...in the 90s, environmentalists were screaming that we were on the verge of the next iceage. People who pronounce the end of the world are one or more of many things...
A) crazy
B)stupid
C)lying
oooor in some cases, *cough* GORE *cough*
D)lying because they can make money off of it

Did you believe that the world would come to a screeching halt on January 1st 2000? This world, as our scientists have discovered, has gone through a lot of changes throughout the millennial. Hot, Cold, Wet, Dry, what exactly do you feel that's going to bring on the end in 20 years? And why 20? why 2027? Why not 19? Or 22?

I wouldn\t know where you got the info from. You have not made mention of your refrence point where you got that from. but all I have to really tell you is. No man not in this life or life to come knew when this world will actually come to an End. This question is only meant for the owner and creator of Thw wEarth and universe. Just do what is right and what you are expected to do, leave the rest to your creator and also the creator of the World, and the whole universe.
This is just the beggining. and time will come when so many will deceive themselves when the received seeds that is not of God, believing that they have salvation. Try and read the bible, pray for the spiritual interpretation and be able to allow the sees grow in your heart and become living in you. The world is Created by god and only Him will give an answer to that.

It is a media hype due to the possibility of the newly discovered asteroid Apophis hitting earth in the year 2036.
I would have to say I agree more with Sam Hughes take on the matter that it will be very hard for the earth to be destroyed and all its life annilihated. His blog (link below) cites the Top 10 ways earth could be destroyed and has been featured on the site "Live Science". It is very interesting and worth a read.

Way back in 1962 my Dad swore that the earth would come to an end in 2000. And we are still here and I hear that same line every New Years Eve and it hasn't happened . I suppose it's likely the Romans and the Greeks said the same thing 2000 years ago . Don't worry about things you can't change !

I am worried for our children. This planet has become a prison and we all live under the laws of the rich who want to protect their greed by imprisoning the world.
Ask the jews, they know what's coming.

This is why they've been targeted.
Now it's going to be all people who are poor.

NO.....you know y? becoz I can't see mankind and earth will end that soon....I believe that it will end but not that soon and maybe afew hundred years from now..................by that time most of our countrymen are endangered........greedy people will rule their fellow men...all of them will suffer and will die one by one and very slowly............international disasters is also a predicton maybe a thousand meter tsunami will the shores of the cities around us...................................my conclusion is that the earth will end but not in a matter of 20 years time.
