I met my partner, and I knew it was real. I couldn't walk away from it, I couldn't put it out of my head, I just knew she was the one for me. I had never considered a relationship possible with another woman until I met her. Everything is complete, I feel whole and complete, and sexy and content, and happy. The decision for me was to tell my friends and parents and not pretend to be something I was not! The world is not an accepting place, but we all have a place in it. It takes courage to be who you are!

I am not gay myself, but I need to tell you that those people do not make a "decision" to become gay. Everybody already has his/her sexual preferences encoded in their genes at the moment of conception. And, by the way, most intelligent people know this already. It's part of common knowledge.

I love "Henry"'s answer: "Straights don't make that decision, only Gays do." Therein sums up our cultural stupidity regarding this issue. Christians have to believe that gays are sinners, making decisions around their sexuality, whereas straight people do not...
Its just idiotic.
I hope all these stupid bigots live long enough to see science prove them wrong (around so many things...)

You know what, In todays society, everything goes, So its to the person themselves, to be on the other side or not, and what makes them feel more comfortable in admitting to peference. Nowadys you see more gays than back 10 years ago, since they announce same sex marriage is legal in some states, or countries.

I am straight because I'm attractes to the opposite sex.
If someone's unsure I'd recommend trying both out. Test the water and see what feels more comfortable. Soon enough they'd realise.
