I dont know why. I see it alot on here. I am not Jewish but it still pisses me off that there is so much anti-Jewish garbage on here. I know one guy who posts in pol/gov always says in his answer that he doesnt want "jews" to answer.

There is a fine line between criticism and hate speech. To legitimately question something you don't understand, or don't agree with is and should be acceptable. To spew useless hate should not. Unfortunately, both are free speech and while I may find some comments disgraceful and offensive I will none the less defend people's right to say them. The reason for this is once you start abridge free speech it doesn't stop with that which you sought to eradicate, but rather infects other areas like a cancer. Yahoo does not tolerate hate speech, if you report questions or answers which you find offensive they generally will remove them. The levels of hate exhibited on Yahoo Answers are not limited to Israel. On a daily basis you can find some form of hate speech against almost any group you choose depending on what questions you are looking at. For myself I just try to ignore ignorance when I find it. If I find someone who is posting honestly even in a detrimental way I try to treat them with respect by posting a polite counter opinion. Words have power and a well placed argument can go a long way.

I am Muslim and I get it all the time. I can give the best and nicest responses and get more thumbs down than the ones who are rude.

The hatred towards us is, well, intolerable.

However, I smile it off and graciously go on my way.

I have not seen anti Jewish sentiments. Maybe i have not gone to the right pages.

People come in here to let off steam and just be ignorant, some of them anyhow. They can be anonymous. Yesterday someone with horrid English and grammar wrote about illiterate and uneducated Muslims. I had a ball correcting his English! I figure, consider where this crud comes from and just ignore it. LOL unless you spoiling for a good argument that gets no one anywhere.

If you have complaints about a post or a question, send in a complaint. If your complaint is valid, it will be removed.

As for the rest, I chalk it up to uncivilized boors with nothing more to do than buy into the evil known as racial intolerance.

ANd now I have to sleep.

Salaam/shalom

Some people confuse Judaism with Zionism, and use Israels actions against all Jewish people. Just like some people use 9/11 to bash on all Muslims. Or use Palestinian violence to excuse Israeli violence. Hatred and ignorance towards many groups of people is abundant throughout the world. You can find people who hate Jews, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Jainists, WhiteBrownBlackYellowRed people, Gay people, Women, Men, etc. in all walks of life. Better to love unconditionally, and realize the world is not black and white, but many different shades of gray.

First off, "racism" is not allowed. It happens, and it can be reported, but it is not allowed at all.
Second, the Democratic Party is capitalized, otherwise you are talking about a political philosophy.
Third, "liberal" is not automatically linked to Democratic. I myself am a conservative Democrat, and will show you my NRA card to prove it.
Fourth, hatred of and attacks on Jews is called "antisemitism" not "racism." In actual fact, most Levantines are Semites, but the Jews have that word association thing going.
You need to turn your television to some channel other than FoxNews every now and then; your brains are turning to jelly from all the agitprop you've been absorbing.

This is the silliest question I've seen today, but hey, the day is young. You need to rephrase, "its coming from [one] democratic liberal [who happens to be an idiot]. You know what I can't stand? I dislike whiny Jewish people. And I don't mean anything other than not liking a whiny person, who happens to be a Jew. You hear one antisemitic comment from someone claiming to be liberal, then make the judgement that all liberals are antisemitic. THAT, I take offense to. So, how many other democratic liberals do you see it from?? Just the one right? Grow up.

WAWAWA!!!! Is it now illegal to criticize a foreign country that is screwing up the USA?

This was printed in Israel!!! Not in Yahoo!!!

By Joel Leyden
Israel News Agency

"..Jerusalem----April 2.....The American Jewish Congress today congratulated Paul Wolfowitz on his election as the president of the World Bank.

In Israel, The Jerusalem Post had selected Paul Wolfowitz as its Man of the Year for 2002. The Post stated: "On September 15, 2001, at a meeting in Camp David, Wolfowitz advised President George W. Bush to skip Kabul and train American guns on Baghdad. In March 2003, he got his wish.

"When President Bush says, "America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons" -- that's Wolfowitz talking...

When the president calls for "a new Arab charter that champions internal reform, greater political participation, economic openness and free trade" -- that's Wolfowitz's talking, too. But perhaps the greatest measure of Wolfowitz's influence is that Colin Powell now waxes rhapsodic about an Iraq "on the road to democratic self-government." This from the man who, after the first Gulf War, mocked: "Where's Iraq's Thomas Jefferson?" To our ears, the sudden stress on Mideast democratization is "transformative," to use the Pentagon jargon. Israel has long waited for an administration that understands that the principal problem in the Middle East is not the unsettled status of our borders. It is the unsettling nature of Arab regimes -- and of the bellicosity, fanaticism, and resentments to which they give rise. Israel has also long waited for an ...."

and "AN End to Evil" by two Jews

and the Bush speech "Axis of Evil" by a Canadian Jews working for the US government!!! David Frum!!!

I followed your link, and frankly, I don't see it at all.

Criticism of another nation state is protected speech under the constitution.

Anti-semitism (it's not racism) is contemptible in all of it's forms.

If you feel abuse has occured, you should report it.

Why should one group, nation, religion, or whatever be exempt from beeing insulted? Wouldn't that be another form of discrimination?

For the same reason racism towards Catholic people is allowed on yahoo. And Muslim people. ................oh and something for your notes, the term racism is only used for race, not religion.
