First of all, congratulations on being smart enough to choose not to want kids.
On the other had, do you honestly think a million men would have obtained vasectomies last year if that meant they got their testacies removed?
A vasectomy is painless, and it will affect your sex life none at all. You will have no scar. Nobody will be able to tell, not even your wife, unless they look at your semen under a microscope.

No, a vasectomy is not castration (denuted [sic] --please use proper terms). vasectomy is permanent, however! You will NEVER be able to be a father -- not ever!!! I would not do this unless you are over 55yrs of age and have at least 3 children of your own. Life changes and I doubt you'll be with this person forever as she seems dominating & selfish and that does not make for a truly loving, committed relationship. Don't be bullied into a life altering cituation that you will very likely deeply regret !!!
Who will be sitting under your Christmas Tree in 15 years -- you, by yourself??? Where will the grandchildren be who should be around the table at THANKSGIVING in 30 years??? Will you be sitting alone at the WMCA dinner for those w/o anyone ???
Think about it!!! I made the mistake of only having one child, now he's deserted us and keeps his kids from being with us!!! We are desperately lonely!!! If I hadnt been so foolish and had had other children we'd have a family to be with and share with and love now!!!! SO, T H I N K !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a neighbor who had a vasectomy while he was married and had had 3 kids. Then there was a nasty divorce, she got the kids and he got nothing -- like very little visitation and their mother turned them against him. Years later he remarried and his new wife and he wanted kids. he had the operation to reverse the vasectomy -- it didn't work , it usually doesn't work, he is still sterile and they have no children and no family. They are also desperately lonely!!! (That reversal operation almost never works and it costs a fortune -- with no results in most all cases!!!) Again, don't get a vasectomy. There are plenty of other birth control options and although I think she'll regret it, if she is adamant about sterilization, then she should be the one to have it done. It's called: tubal ligation (for women).

If you don't want children, a doctor will cut the little tube for carrying sperm, which is from your testes (balls) to your penis. Whoever said you should get a vasectomy was trying to be mean. One of the most common reasons you might not be able to read is maybe because you have dyslexia. Tell your doctor or a teacher at school, they'll be able to get you help.

Vasectomy involves cutting the vasa deferentia, the tubes that carry sperm from the testes to the vas deferens where they are stored. This renders a man infertile, but does not interfere with his sex drive or ability to have intercourse. It is a simple procedure and does not require hospitilization. An old joke describes a real macho man as one who jogs home from his vasectomy. My son, who had the procedure, says that would be one tough dude!

Vasectomy should not be confused with castration: vasectomy does not involve removal of the testicles and it affects neither the production of male sex hormones (mainly testosterone) nor their secretion into the bloodstream. Therefore sexual desire (libido) and the ability to have an erection and an orgasm with an ejaculation are not affected. Because the sperm itself makes up a very small proportion of an ejaculation, vasectomy does not significantly affect the volume, appearance, texture or flavor of the ejaculate.

A vasectomy snips the vas deference, which is the tube that brings the semen from the testicles to the urethra and then to be ejaculated.
You still get your dose of testosterone and can be "a man", but you are just "shooting blanks".
There is a larger issue here of YOU wanting children, though. You may want to consider all the possibilities before you go under the knife

No they just cut your tube. But do you feel the same way don't you want to have kids that will carry on your name, if you do you should not have this done tell your g/f to get on birth control or use condoms. If she chooses not to tell her that you really don't want to marry her because you want to have kids later in life she can have her tubes cut it works both ways..Sounds like she should have her tubes cut instead of you because if you ever get a divorce and meet someone else the person that you meet may want kids and then you wouldn't be able to have them so tell her to get her tubes cut and tell her to stop being so selfish.
