There is a group of 10 adults going to Amsterdam on the ferries from Hull on 6th April 07 and we are looking for 5 double rooms for overnight stay. We dont need breakfast, just a bed for the night. Does anyone know of any cheap accommodation close to the city centre??

Yes using this system is realy reliable however i have had to stay in a whores dormitory using that system as every hotel room in and around Amsterdam was full except for one suite in the grand hotel at £700/night. So i reccomend you go on net and locate small hotel in Amsterdam and book in advance. Had to overnight there many time on route back from work and it can be a *****!http://www.easytobook.com/index.php?city_name=amsterdam¤cy=2&srkwrd=amsterdam%20accommodation&srtype=search&sradused=453183989

A good place to sort locations, prices, amenities, star rating and inclusions is on this site which has "sort filters"

If you book inside 21days you may get a cheaper price, but you run the risk of not obtaining accommodation. Personally, I'd take the risk.

Here's some links to the main City Centre areas with specific hotels. The trick will be to find a site that does 10 persons - but i think this one does them instantly.

In Amsterdam there is very little cheap accommodation in the central area, the only one I have ever used was the Hotel Hans Brinker which can be best described as a student hostel.

Try Hans Brinker, not very luxerious but funky cheap and right in the middle of Amsterdam. I had a good other place but when retruning this year it was noisy, dirty and quite expensive so I wont recommend. Amsterdam center is a bit overpriced with poor quality these days if you ask me so if its just for the one night Hans Brinker is your best bet- WYSIWYG! enjoY!

Use the tourist office outside the central railway station. You can't miss it. They are great. All speak English and are most helful. Just tell them how many and how much and they'll soon sort you out. Enjoy. It's an amazing city.

if the completed holiday is KLM they might in all hazard preserve your luggage, yet provide them a call to confirm. in case you desire to stay in one day in Amsterdam you will desire a Schengen visa, in case you dont have one, dont do a evening stopover on the grounds which you will ought to stay in the airport, get the 1st connecting flight incredibly
