Hi it's now been six weeks since my op and I am having terrible trouble with finding a comfortable bra for wearing all the time. I have gone up in back size for comfort but then then this makes my bra rise up with movement, which then sits on my scars. I can only wear non underwire ones at the moment. I don't want to go to Rigby and peller to be fitted as my shape will change constantly. can anyone help with this from a very sore breasted woman

I had mine enlarged a few years ago and had the same trouble-but if you go into marks and spencers they are very helpful and will help you find the right bra for you and hopefully 1 that is very comfortable.good luck
If you dont want to be fitted then try lots of different ones on and go for one with no underwiring-like a sports bra with a soft cup x

Hi there, I had a breast reduction done a year ago and totally understand what you're going through. I always felt that a sports bra worked best - the type that doesn't have any cups in it. This allows your breasts to breathe and wont sit on your scars. There also aren't any annoying straps at the back to dig into you. You're surgeon will have given you an idea of what size you are now so go by that. Even if you buy a slightly bigger size, a sports bra shouldn't rise up like a normal one. Buy yourself a couple and change them regularly as you need to keep them clean. As you gradually become less sore you can buy yourself some proper bras but its best not to get underwired ones for a while - until you feel you're healed. Hope this helps!

When I first had my breast reduction I knew my size would change a bit before I was all healed. I went to Walmart (not that I like that place) and they had the largest selection of non wire bras I have seen anywhere. They are not expensive so you can try a few different ones. Also go to a nice department store, one that has older women in the bra department that have been fitting bras for a long time, they are great at knowing what is going to work. Or even wait for a bra clinic that the venders put on sometime.

You could try a sports bra. Alternatively (are you in the UK?) what about going to M&S and asking advice - the staff are very understanding and you won't be the first woman to have visited them with this dilemma. They'll be able to suggest something suitable that won't break the bank. Good luck and well done on having the courage to go through with the op - it'll change your life x

I have found that the bras that are sold on http://www.breasthealthonline.com are very comfortable. All you need to do is order your band size (or one larger to accommodate for swelling).

There are also sports bras at walmart and target that are very comfortable.

Congrats on your reduction!
