"Freinds" is fun, and I watch it now & then.
But yea gods, it is just a TV show !
The book used, as you ask was Kipling, but the stage prop was somones copy of a Mormon Bible, with the lines Pritt-sticked into it. Oh dear I give away trade secrets!
