What happens when you report abuse? Where does the complaint go to and what happens next?

Generally, you'll receive an email advising you that the complaint was received. Y!A will then check out your complaint and 9 times out of 10, they'll delete the offending question/answer, remove the points from that question/answer. There are times that the offending person's account is suspended or terminated.

It goes to Yahoo customer service, which is a misnomer. Back to question, it is suppose to be looked at and determined if was indeed abuse of the community guidelines or terms of service and if found to be 10 points is deducted and the question or answer deleted.

Usually Yahoo/Answers respond by taking points away from the accused and if neccessary buy them a few doughnuts to make them feel better.

They usually send something to the person that was reported and something to the person that done the reporting

do you mean on Yahoo or in real life? in real life it depends on who you go to and what kind of abuse you mean.
