Look at -8. If there are integer factors,
they will be ±1, ±2, ±4 or ±8.
In other words, try dividing (x - 1), (x + 1),
(x - 2), (x + 2), (x - 4), (x + 4), (x - 8) and (x + 8)
into the expression using synthetic division.
Trying (x - 1) is lucky, as it gives the factor x^2 + 6x + 8.
Hopefully, you can now see that this last
expression factors as (x + 2)(x + 4).
So the final answer is (x - 1)(x + 2)(x + 4).
