How has your teacher/professor inspired you at school/university?

Question

Since it's one of the best practices imminent educators worldwide would definitely like to hear there is great teaching by great teachers/professors who should inspire students in their classes, rather than just teach students to memorize or understand what they have taught. Please cite a case which impresses you most as well as what course(s) of study, in what year and how. Thanks.

When I was a senior in high school, I loved my history teacher. He was a motivator--we wanted to do well because he expected us to do well. He would treat us like individuals, not like inferiors.

He's the one who inspired me to become a high school history teacher!

I had an English teacher in primary stages, he was the first reason why I liked English & had straight As all the time.

He inspired me to be a good English teacher too!! He used to say that "Language is like tastes" He meant that the meaning of one word change from ne place to the other as opinions might vary on the same dish,

He used to encourage us to study harder by giving us Jasmin flowers or Cadbury eclairs :).. now I do the very same with my pupils.

I loved him so and looked up at him. I still remember him, & pray for him from time to time.

I remember in High School I had a wonderful teacher (English/Math). He was wonderful teacher who had the time to teach his students & give great advices to his students. I still keep in touch with him after all these years and he still help's me out with in giving advices. See how he taught his students and the time he took in help out his students insipred me to take the field in teaching.

by scaring me to behave properly in class otherwise complaining me to my parents and dont stare at girls and asking me to mind my own business.
