Why not aclose?

not romantically, but i do admire people whose work has helped me or enlightened me. people like alberto villillodo, michael harner, carlos castaneda, ted andrews, sylvia browne, john edwards.

No. Never from afar. I'm a big believer in telling people what I think and admire about them. I have a friend whose Mom was murdered, was raised in an unstable family etc., but has gone on to be the most functional person I know. I admire her greatly and tell her that.
Even superficial things, like if a stranger has a good haircut or cool shoes, then I tell them. Life is too short not to tell others how you feel.

Sometimes we admire people for what they are and how they look rather than knowing them. I think we all admire someone that we do not know personally and I think this is just human nature. By the way "there is no such word as "aclose" ha ha !

he was quite close actually, he sat in front of me for a year but i admired him quietly. i watched him constantly and knew that he smelled like chocolate, he liked to stretch his arms after taking long notes, how he often ran his hand in his hair,the different type of smiles he had,the way his eyes gleamed whever he had an interesting idea in his head....i knew what subject he liked, what kind of people he didn't like and what songs he liked to sing....by the end of the year, i had it so bad for him but nobody knew because i was admiring him from afar...i didn't tell him or any of my friends because i already knew he wouldn't like me that way...
