I have been in both and it really seems to me these places are much more ideal for a big concert than some crappy amphitheatre? I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and have always wondered why we don't use our ballparks for concerts.

your ballparks have open roofs. rain rain go away come again another day cos everyone is waiting for the sun. ok done singing but the over head is a problem but is usually erased by high prices for everything and 30K to 50-70K isnt that big a deal because those extra people still have to pay for things. and another reason is the acoustics.but yeah i wouldnt mind more big huge stadium shows

Too much OVERHEAD!!! A little place let's the band put out far less costs in almost every aspect, from security right down to concessions. Way cheaper at a 30k place than a 50-75k seating arena. Good question!!!
