It's like that with all developed, industrialized countries. In a country where money makes the world go 'round, we tend to forget values and ignore the poor, the sick, the homeless, etc. It's also why the gap between the super rich and the super poor is growing wider, and the middle class is disappearing.

The U.S is not communism driven, but capitalism, where there is competition for money. Generally (NOT ALWAYS), poor people come from lazy households, where they have no feel for working. This would be good for communist governments, where everything is handed to you on a dirt plate, where you don't have to work. But in a competitive country, you must work for what you get!

By the way... does Luxembourg and Norway have poor people? Yet, they're richer than the average American!

yes sad and it often means there is over 1million family's that didn't want there children. most children are homeless because the of mum abounding them or was forist to give the child up and some times parents die and there's no one to look after them. so many reasons and so many of them are petty reasons. people are very selfish these days people always have been but even more so now because of easy life we have now, compared to what it was.
