Companies in the US do use your credit report in deciding to offer you employment thier theory is that it shows if you are a responsible person or not

No, all a CRB check is for is to establish if yoy've got a criminal record, not county court judgements, bankrupcy etc. Hope this helps!

CRB check shows your criminal record not your spending record.

It should not affect your application unless it is for Police, bank working or any other financial institution. In these organisations you could be open to bribes, corruption etc.
Also it is not a crime unless you knowingly ran up debts with no intention or no ability to pay them

Not at all, I have got quite a bit of debt and had to be checked when I got a previous job.

Go for it you will be fine.

no, you'll be fine..... If it was a bank or a similar financial institution you probably wouldnt get the job.

I know that the Halifax dont give jobs to people with bad debt.

Hope that helps you.

No.not at all .....debt is not a crime......but you should tell them
about the time that is fixed for paying the debt, according to
your contract with other party,by simply it will never effect your
job oppertunity......
thanks

Debt is not a crime, it is a civil matter. Therefore you do not have to disclose it.
