I was just sitting here thinking, what if the earth's orbit got disturbed and jumped about 50 miles off its coarse, what are some of the things that could happen here as a result? Global warming? A present day ice age? Just curious...

Earth's orbit around the Sun differs from year to year. In a place where time and distance are measured in "light years" 50 miles here and there would be studied but not noticed by the average man on the street. The effect on Earth's climate, if any would come over a period of several thousand years.

The earth's orbit is not a perfect circle round the sun it's slightly elliptical so the distance from the sun probably varies by over 50 miles every year.

if the earth were to jump off course by 50 miles nothing major would happen. it isn't a significant change anyway. but in the long run it might just lower the earth's temperature a lil bit. but if there is a ice age then the earth has to jump off course by about 20 thousand miles i think

It depends what "disturbed" it, i would guess... if a meteor impact it would be cataclysmic. If just 50 miles distance, it wouldn't affect us in the least. The orbit variates greatly through the years.

The earth will a little bit colder. The season will a little bit saturated. The years will be a little bit more longer.

No effect unless it occurred quickly.
