Is it possible to connect a laptop to the internet, where there is no landline or wireless connection via a mobile phone, or similar device? Any advice would be great! :) Also any infomation of prices, connection speeds, limitations, ect would be useful. Thanks.

As above:
also, you can buy a plug in card (I think Orange does one, if you're in the UK) which does away with the need for connecting cables, etc - you simply plug it into the laptop and it handles the connection over the mobile phone network. In that case, I think the speed is slightly better (about 2 x better) than dial up.
Price used to be about £40 a month when my colleague had one, a couple of years back

There are 2 ways that I can do this, I live in an area where there are no mainline telephones. You can either do it via infra red GPRS but this is expensive in calls.

The other way I do it is via a data sim card from Vodafone. It goes into your laptop and is set up for data use only. Not cheap to buy about 250 quid, but the data use is cheaper and you get 15mb download free a month.

Hope this helps.

It depends on your phone, and your connection, that is the telecom company that serves you.

It is possible, I have done it, but the speed sux ( In m case it did). You connect the phone to your comp through the USB for this. Better connect the service providers, they'll give you the right info.

Yeap, but you use a dial-up account.

If you have internet now, the dial-up service might be free, check with them first. If not, it's cheap enough. You'll have to determine the value.

Dial-up is SLOW. And you'll probably need the computer cable for your phone.

yes you can.
All you need is a GPRS connection enabled in ur phone and a connector between Phone and USB port of your system.

charges are invariably higher than the regualr ISP charges.
