I have mood swings a lot, but right now Im more depressed than usual. I am usually very conscientious about my apperance, and I haven't gotten out of my pajamas or done any sort of hygiene since Sunday. I am usually on Myspace at least several hours a day, but I haven't been on in days because I don't want to talk to any of my friends or deal with any of that. I love to read and got a brand new book, but I just can't get myself in the mood to read it. I was in the hospital for a month and missed all that school work. Now Im really behind, but thinking about that just makes me feel worse and cry, so I don't, even though I know thats a horrible decision. All I can get myself to do is lay on the couch, search the web and watch law & order. I just want to crawl in a cave and disappear from the world. I even cut again, which I had been trying hard not to do. I just cant handle all the thoughts in my head. I dont know what to do. I don't want to die, but I cant handle all of this anymore....

I am an abuse victim...
I know there are people way worse off then me, and that just makes me feel worse. I should be able to pick myself up and get off the couch and out of the house and I cant. I'm pathetic.

Why don't you do one thing at a time? You have your studies at one side, and then there's your mood and what not. I think you are taking it all into head at one go that you end up getting stuck. Your mind has gone bonkers because of that and that is why you are still stuck in your pajamas and avoiding everything else - even taking a shower.
This is what is happening to your head.. your head is too lost with so many in its mind that it couldnt do anything and neither is it satisfied with distraction, such as reading a book, because it knows that it has not done the important things yet.
Now, play with that mind of yours. Keep it calm. Do one thing at a time. Tell this to your mind/head that 'Ok, now i shall start some revision for 1.5hr and then i shall have some sack'. And then do it. After that tell yourself that you shall take a shower... i hope you get where im going. Just take it slowly, one thing at a time. Have some deep breaths too. When you find your mind going bonkers again, ignore it. Don't listen to what it is saying.
Also give yourself small breaks now and then.. have a snack, indulge yourself in chocolate :), have those wonderful long warm baths, go for a run if you like it...
Just train yourself to listen to you, and to be under your control, and not to tip over the edge when under pressure. Now you can't do all this at one go. Take things slow and also ask your best pals to give you a hand.

Hmmm, sounds like adolescence.
First of all, this is normal, you're not alone. a lot of people through the centuries have gone through these thoughts. Being young and living under someone else's rule is diffficult, but it's also temporary. you'll become an adult ina few years and get your own space and your own rules.
Find someone to talk to about it though. Get it off your chest, that'll probably help a lot.
Don't let your school work overwhelm you, it's not going away on it's own, no? Just take bite size parts. Do what you can, and then the next bite, and in time it will finish itself.

Forget the schoolwork first up, you can catch that up later or even take the year off to get things straight. You need to find someone who you can talk to about things that are getting to you and get out of the house.
If possible seek professional help, but otherwise look to your good friends cause they will want to be there for you and help you out. There is no easy answer but try lessening the load of stress and look to things that are more important.
I hope you can work things out...
Sometimes talking to a someone you dont have to face helps... so if you need to talk... feel free to contact me.

Go outside and run like a maniac. It will release feel good endorphins. Also I agree with the answer about how someone is always worse off than you, whether it be a cancer patient, or an abuse victim. DO something that will change your life. :)

People in Africa are dying of starvation, disease, watching their children die for no good reason. Your problems aren't that bad. If you focus on the bad, that's all you'll see. Listen to Tony Robbins.
