My personal earliest memory is of lying in my pram trying to touch a toy hung across the hood and feeling frustrated because i kept missing it. A doctor has since told me i must have been less than 6 weeks old as your coordination comes together at this time.

Incidentally the late writer Somerset Maugham could definitely remember being born and his passage down the birth canal.

Wooo....you'll love this! I have a memory from before birth.

I have memories of part of a family holiday when I was still in the womb. My Mother was about 6 months pregnant and she was very nervous about a ferry crossing. I was able to describe the event years later in detail although I wasn't there and we have no pictures of the day. Spooky, huh?
