They ARE able to stop them. They've killed many thousands of them already and are killing more and more of them everyday. General Patton once said, "You never win a war by sacrificing your soldiers, instead, you make the other poor bastard die for theirs."
It's a matter of time. They can't continue to allow their people to die at the rate they are dieing. Only so many people available. But the art of war that is being used is effective for a time, it all depends on who can outlast the other and I believe the USA is winning this.
Now, if the USA pulls out, the Civil war in Iraq will work itself out, probably ending up as a religious controlled nation of whackos, just like other Islamic whacko nations.
In time, the world will grow tired of the nonsense these nations profess and will take action against them. That will be the real Armageddon.

Leave alone America, even God cannot stop terrorist activities in the world as long as deprivation in the World continues. There is already a huge gap between the haves and have not's of the world. I Personally feel that this is one of the root causes for thriving terrorist activities in the World.

Because terrorists are cowards that use civilians as shields and with the way the media controls things now civilian casualties must be kept to a bare minimum as compared to previous wars when you could go in and just steamroll whole areas

It is duty of all nations to curb terrorism in their countries, some do and some donot . then how can we hope from united states to curb these. above all whole world needs peace.
but approach of superpowers is above tolerance, they interfere
every where and nowadays work only for their benefits which men of countries like ours cannot easil understand . they have somewhat hidden in them.
also war against terrorism need funds which alone she has to borne(the u.s.)

what a funny question how innocent you are have you taken your feed babay USA is not super power SUPER POWER IS ONLY GOD and they are victims also they couldnt save their country how they can stop they suffer terrorism and than they reply same in muslim countries with more terrorism see iraq afghanistan they drop bomb on wedding anniversery they fire public buses they drop bomb on school on hospital
