The move
Sit on the floor in a cross-legged position with your back supported against a wall. Place one hand under your breasts and the other on your navel. Inhale as you expand your belly, then exhale slowly, while bringing your belly button inward toward the spine. Pretend there's a train whose first stop is at your navel and whose fifth stop is at your spine. Count off stops until you reach the fifth. Hold and count out loud to 30. Then imagine your navel going out the back of your spine to a sixth stop for five counts. Relax and inhale. Work up to ten times daily.

Take your baby for long walks daily this wont only get you fit again but is goodfor baby it strenthens lung and nasal lining helping ward of colds and illness.

Perhaps take up the gym once a week i know for some this isnt possible as you just dont have time but maybe see if someone will look after baby for a while and take the oppurtunity

You need to work on the abs to hit baby belly hard the first tip i gave you called the move is brilliant for this and is in all good pregnancy and parenting books.

If you find a 5 minute cure then let me know.
I had my baby 9mths ago and I'm still trying to get rid of it.
This is my 4th child so I know it's extra hard but to be honest, I think it's like everything else, you have to want to do it mentally and I don't mean by just thinking, 'yep tomorrow I'll start eating better or exersise.
Have read on the net that sex is fantastic for losing weight and you only need 1/2hr.
I know your groaning and saying things like - if I only had the energy but the more effort you put into it the more you'll want it!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

My doctor told me to remember it takes 9 months to put on the weight and could take up to a year to shed the extra weight by healthy eating and exercise. Try walking more with baby.

ah join the club, it takes at least 12 months for your body to get back to normal, unless you're on a diet of chips and coca cola.
If you just keep eating as you always have the weight will eventually come down, esp once the baby gets mobile, you'll be running around like mad.

It takes time. Eat well and exercise if at all possable.

If you weren't fat before the baby you should get back to your usual weight naturally.

It's not easy by all means, however, the slower you loose it, the longer it will stay off apparently. Gentle exercise and healthy diet until then, and remember, your body has been through a lot and will take time to recover.
