For 7th standard the best way to solve Maths problems especially is to be thorough with the worked examples in the text book. Also solving different problems of one type also helps in gaining confidence. From the exam point of view it is best to solve atleast 10 model papers in the last. This helps in preparing for the Exam. Try working out this method. All the best!!!

The right way is to first build up confidence in your child. First give him problems that r easy to do. then enhance him when he solves the ques. correctly. Explain him by doing it practically, may be he'll understand it and find it interesting. I am saying this cause I love Maths.

It is always prefered to take the help of an experienced local teacher to teach your child the basics. If it is not possible, let the child try to solve asmany types of problems possible with the help of a website or a tutor on-line
