One reason why we need to exercise is because it helps our muscles keep from becoming weak from lack of use. It also helps strengthen our bones (weight bearing exercises such as lifting weights), and helps our heart work better (aerobic exercises such as walking).

If you have problems with exercising with the categories listed above due to health issues such as exercise induced asthma ask your dr if you can try doing small amounts of exercise from a rocking chair (as one example).
