A ship (Not a boat) is like woman, treat her well, talk nice to her and she in return will be good to you. When your out a thousands miles from land and a storm blows up you don't need her throwing a attitude your way... Arr my lady she is a fine ship

because of the tradionally name from women or womens they picked the name for you. SO therefore the ship always girls unless the woman name a boy name.

My answer is NOT funny. In actual fact why" she" because ship is on water and its bottom is always " WET" that is why address as " she"
