The max amount of connections is 2 - there are already 2 active connections - you will need to kill these using the terminal manager - who ever else is connected will be disconnected - if is only yourselve that connects - you will need to be carefull how u disconnect - make sure you logout of the terminal - not just close the window - the connection will stay active

The server to which you are connecting via remote desktop only allows a certain number of concurrent connections. The default, I believe is two.

This means that some other session needs to log off before you can remote desktop in. Typically, this happens when users don't log-off the terminal session. Instead, they close the remote desktop window; leaving the session still logged on.

The fix to this is to be physically at the server and connect via console. Go to the Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Terminal Services Manager. Then choose the hung or idle session to log off.

Be carefuly, though. I don't know the nature of the server to which you're trying to connect. Although my experience suggests it may be something innocuous, those sessions may be legitimately used by someone else. And you may just have to wait your turn.

Check to see if there are session still on the server. You are only allowed so many connections to a server and you may still have some old sessions listed even though you are disconnected. Terminate those sessions and you should be able to connect in.

You're allowed 2 remote sessions by default, but there's also a 3rd connection allowed for an administrator, specifically for your case (when the max number of allowed connections are used and you need to terminate a session). Try this from your computer:
Start
Run
mstsc -v:ipaddress /f -console
All one one line, replace "ipaddress" with the proper IP address.
This should allow you to log in as admin and terminate any sessions.

The quickest way I know to end a session is to right-click on My Computer and select Manage.
Expand the "Shared Folders" folder and click "Sessions". Right-click the session you want to end and select "Close Session".

Then log off and you should be able to log in again normally.
