Selectors know their job very well. The problem in sub- continent is that we have more than 100 million selectors and whoever does not find his favorite player in the team starts criticizing the selection committee. Laxman is a fantastic player there is absolutely no doubt about but he is better suited for longer version of the game besides you need to have some agile fielders and young blood in the team to create your chances. I think Indian selectors have done a wonderful job and no better team could have been selected.

Every body telling about the fielding the ability of Laxman. I want to put a question before them- Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Zaheer, Munaf, Kumble, Shewag are great filders? If there fielding standard is acceptable why not accepting Laxman. The only reason of dropping Laxman is our "white skinned god Chappel" does not like him.

They have made a stupid decision and they have to pay for the Mistake during the world cup by missing a genuine batsman who has good records on overseas .

I think removing laxman out was not a decision because he is most technical batsmen in our team.

Though V.V.S. Laxman is a very good and experienced stylish batsman his style of play is not ideally suited for One Day cricket as he is a slow starter and also very slow in the field.

It is not a particular person, person in form is the criteria for team selection. He could not prove that he is okay for the selection. He himself started protest against the decision. That is not a sportsman's nature.

His main problem is his fielding, he is not that electric in field and age is not on his side......maybe if he had done exceptionally well in South Africa in the only ODI he got, he might have stand some chance.....like Ganguly took the opportunity......

whether the decision was right or wrong only time will tell....
