Hi,
if you rub the zip with a candle the zip should then have no problems going up and down, i use this method all the time and it has worked all the time.

Spray some WD40 on a cotton ball and rub both sides of the zipper. Zip and unzip to spread the oil.

Don't spray it directly on the zipper, or you will be posting another question on how to remove WD40 from a jacket.

Try using a normal pencil to 'draw' up and down the zip a few times - it should loosen it.

Rub a little soap on the zip, that should do it.

yep- good old fashioned remedy- use candle -rub up and down both sides of zip and it'll work like a dream!

The pencil option is the one to go with as the candle wax makes a greasy mess
