I saw a kid get hit by a car on the highway. Nasty. And because he was obviously in shock, he got up and ran across another lane. My heart did that whole jumping into my throat thing.

Yes, when I saw a huge wildebeest charging at me full tilt and my rifle wasn't loaded. That was a scary moment, I remember fumbling around for cartridges, dropping half of them.. the laughter from my native guide as he got a spear ready to try and stop the charge of the angry, thundering hooves.
Suddenly, as if from Divine protection, the alarm went off and I woke up and got ready to go to work. Saved by the bell so to speak.

I was in a serious accident that had fire involved and 3 cars burning out on the freeway...since then, every time I see a car fire, it makes my heart stop....
