If you already have peace, how does 'peace' rise from that? Peace comes from war in the sense that if you and I disagree, go to war, and I kill you, all that's left is peace because our disagreement is gone. The problem is that someone else will come along and another disagreement will arise. While MLK and Gandhi were peaceful, the fights they fought are still going today. I'm not saying violence would have made them more effective, but peace didn't completely solve the problems either.

As asinine as it sounds war is a necessity for peace there are too many crazy opportunists in this world to ever have peace from diplomacy

this all depends on the factions involved. Sometimes wars are inevitable and necessary, such as WW1 and WW2. it is always better to try for a peaceful solution but sometimes this will not work!
