i used to think it was PotC, but then i saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. his character, however ridiculous, is so genuinely convincingly sincere, you can't help but to laugh every time he opens his mouth.

Edward Scissorhands

but i like most:
Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2 and 3 soon ^_^
for sure his performance on "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (on May 2007)" will be as good as the other 2 movies too... ;)

It's hard to go against the popularity of the Jack Sparrow character, but I'll go with a lesser known movie, in which he had a smaller role.

Chocolat.

It's a great movie, and he does a tremendous job, as always. In fact, you can kinda see a little of Jack Sparrow in his gypsy character Roux.

I like him in both Pirates of the Caribbean films. But I also thought that he was very good in Benny and Joon and I especially liked him in ‘What’s eating Gilbert Grape’, I just thought that, that was a very good film

I liked Sleepy Hollow. I thought he acted really well. I also liked the humor and how he was scared of almost everything, but still had the courage in the end to save the day.

Donnie Brasco was the first role where I realized he was an excellent good actor and not just a quirky pretty boy. Now I think he is an acting genius.

a nightmare on elm street, it's a fantastic movie! it was also one of his first onscreen roles, as a leading man cry baby because i loved the quirky humor. i also enjoyed sleepy hollow, pirates of the carribean the curse of the black pearl (dead mans chest sucked) and charlie and the chocolate factory.
