If you are talking about Obama, no, the problem is that we are in dire need of a canidate that can survive the electorial process then do the job. The glamour of being President of the US is gone for awhile. Right now, and I mean right now, we need a leader that will pull us through these times of uncertainty. We can't afford to keep on bickering about what color or gender that person is going to be. Obama is not your man for this job, who is the canidate? I like Colin Powell, he is loyal to our country. I wish he was running and I wish the rest of America and both Houses would support him. That would be a great start in getting America right where it should be. At least we know he would not sell "US" out.

As a Black Veteran that served under him in 1976 I see him as fair and honest, a true leader that wouldn't ask his men to do anything that he wouldn't do. You can bet when I saw him we were not high fiving, it was good morning Sir, a salute, a return salute, an occasional greeting, and right into the performance of our duties.

Come on America wake up, we admitted we were sleep when 911 took place. We have to put this color and gender thing aside and unite and pull ourselves out of this situation.

Rather it be war or rather it be diplomatic. I don't like Hillary for President either. We need someone to step up to the plate and take on this responsibility to heart.

Then, once the voting is done we need to support our President 100 percent. I would run myself, but I know I am not qualified. However, I must add that I would be very interested in supporting which ever canidate wins 100 percent.

I am not able to run for President, but I could be a key player in helping bring America back to it's fullest potential.

That is my interest and I don't care if the President is Republican or Democratic.

I sure would like to have a chance to do my part that is my opinion/answer. With that being said let me add once we have our new President, lets support them. I am a 1957 Black Male Model American and in my generation that is how it was done. The Parties pull together and accomplish the American Mission.

Yes, the country would accept a qualified black candidate for president, however, we presently don't have one. Obama is not qualified. His past associations with Islam, he's a heavy smoker and has very little experience in Congress and no international experience at all. He's even admitted to experimenting with drugs. Just not a good role model for our people and he's simply not qualified to be president.

Hillary is also a very very poor Democratic choice. She is wasting the resources of the Democrats when a qualified candidate could be running. She too would be a poor choice. She does not put America first and has already been in the White House. America is finished with the Clintons. They would provide the greatest value to the country if they would just quietly fade away and stop pushing their socialism to replace capitalism.

i do no longer in all hazard comprehend the question myself, if a black baby-kisser is prevalent with nearly all of voters the two black and white (as Obama is), then we would be waiting (i think of we'd have got here across ourselves "waiting" lower back in 2000 if Powell had desperate to run for the GOP nomination). The KKK and different as quickly as-useful racist communities that could oppose a candidate for his race have been in perpetual decline for the final 30 years (or perhaps the Republicans have tried to comprise extra black leaders and latest themselves as diverse, if nevertheless favoring the extra often than not-white top class and being smitten by potential of unlawful immigration). What we are initiating to work out now are a sparkling era of black politicians that are no longer in simple terms protecting the black community against injustice (in the vein of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or different leaders popping out of the civil rights conflict) yet representing all of society and prevailing or a minimum of coming fairly close to to prevailing elections in states and districts with white majorities (Deval patrick, Michael Nutter, Harold Ford, and Barack Obama).

it should be - its about time - but i suspect America will sadly prove not to be, judging from some of the articles i have been reading lately! The only way to achieve a black president is for ALL americans to vote and vote wisely.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY Wish that we were, but we live in a country where creationism is still taught in schools, and gay people don't have the same rights. I would love to see Obama as pres, but I really don't think itll happen in a country thats progresses like a tortise.

Yes, but unfortunately, there are no able candadites to vote for right now, since the one seems totally inable to even communicate to us lesser whte people.

I am Republican, but would like to see a black or woman president,......unfortunately, I don't see any qualities in the democratic voting that would give me chance to vote on these things.....
