Why should history be of interest? Well, study of what happened before has allowed people to guess what could happen in the future.
If George Bush was a better student of the subject I doubt we would have an occupying army in a foreign country.

Its about the past and that there are more than one side to every event in history. Man is supposed to learn from his mistakes (but after two world wars he still hasn't learnt). From this so called mistakes man should be able to predict the future not just from the point of war but looking at starvation, food distribution, weather climate and change (tsunami) space exploration and how changing materials of our spaceships we can go further into space. It also helps us to change how we look at things for example how the egyptians built the pyramids without the tools that we have today with accuracy that they maintained. History affects all aspects of our lives inventions, events, philosophy, building, how we conduct business and so on

wanna know bout history?
history simply tells us that without it, you woudn't be standing there and i wouldnt be here typing this.
to understand yourself and the present world, one must study history. the present world poses a lot of why and how questions that are answered by the world's history itself.

history is where we all started. without one, we won't have a present.
