That is a loaded question! It has been considered an individual perception , since the first art critic scammed the general population with his or her personal opinion. We all know those are worth! An artist friend of mine once told me , during a late night gathering of friends(and three shared bottles of excellent vintage),that " Art is a fart in the dark, it hits a different nerve with each nose it encounters ". I think that's still an interesting concept !
